On Monday, May 12th the New York District Export Council kicked off World Trade Week with a breakfast celebration and awards ceremony that included a sell-out crowd at Baruch College in New York City. Key participants in the affair included:, Richard Larrabee of the Port Authority, Terrence Martell of Baruch College and Nancy Ploeger of the Manhattan
Chamber of Commerce. Keynote speaker was Andrea Lamberti, Partner – Rafael Viñoly Rafael Viñoly Architects PC.

Talking Trade @ FIT Lecture Series
In connection with World Trade Week month, on 2 May, 2014, Fashion Institute of Technology's (FIT) Department of International Trade and Marketing (ITM) partnered with New York District Export Council and Computer Generated Solutions which assembled a panel of distinguished speakers who introduced BlueCherry's comprehensive suite of integrated apparel software solutions, provide a demonstration of its features, and discuss a fashion company's experience with the system. Held at FIT's Katie Murphy Amphitheater and accessible online, the event was moderated by ITM chair, Christine S. Pomeranz and the speakers were Paul F. Magel, President, Application Solutions Group, Computer Generated Solutions, Inc., Marc Ionatta, Sr. Director of IT and IP, IT, Alice + Olivia, Phil De Pasquale, Director of PreSales, Application Solutions Group, Computer Generated Solutions, Inc., and Dana Hall, Intern, Computer Generated Solutions, Inc.
